About Us

The Judith K. Record Memorial Conservation Fund (JKR) was established in 2001 by family, friends, and members of the McLean Open Space Alliance and the Belmont Land Trust who wished to honor Judy Record’s contributions to the cause of land conservation. The Fund creates a vehicle for the purpose of protection, rehabilitation, and maintenance of open space in Belmont and beyond.

The JKR Fund’s present priority is to assist the Town of Belmont with long term needs of the 88 acres of open space transferred from McLean Hospital to the Town in the summer of 2005. Since its inception the Fund has grown to $550,000. Our goal, through Our Land, Our Legacy initiative, is to raise a $1 million to ensure the sustained care of this beautiful land for generations to come.
